Shoei Neotec Helmet Issues.

  1. Hey guys.

Anyone got the shoei Neotec flip up helmet and having any issues?

I purchased one last year along with my mate and we have has both had nothing but issues with water ingress with the helmets to the the point that we have returned them today and asked for our money back.

They have been back twice now to the uk distributor who said they cannot find an issue although the first time they did replace the front vent which did stop the worst of the rain shower coming into the helmet even with the vent shut.

This weekends trip again we were both getting a little water in from the front plus you could see the water running round the run of the visor and you would get the occasional drip onto your nose from the top. When you stopped for fuel and flipped the helmet up it was like a river running.

We are either really unlucky and there are a faulty batch or these helmets are just plain crap. Fit is great and can't fault that I just want a helmet that keeps me dry.
Our other mates have the older multitecs and they were dry with no issues all weekend so stumped to be honest.

  2. I have both Multitec and Neotec and haven't noticed any problems with either. I have used the Multitec through torrential rain and the Neotec through only light rain.

  3. I also wear a Multitec which is IMO certainly not a crap helmet, it seems really well finished, fits beautifully and I really like it, I've worn it twice in torrential rain and had no issues.

  4. Cheers guys. Looks like we have squibs then. We purchased them in May last year. They are back at the shop now to be returned on Monday and I'm deciding whether or not to ask for a replacement lid or go for a c3 pro instead.
