The close up photo looks like a sheeps head... The wife has now called my Mutly... Dolly BTW it's a massive improvement, love it !!!
Hi Bashafoc... The sat-nav is fitted onto a Navihalter bracket. There are other threads on this subject on the forum or just google Navihalter. I had my sat-nav originally on the Ducati handlebar fitment but didn't like where it was.
It looks good, I mounted the original carbon wind shield which is also very short and also the nav holder with Zumo which is just behind the screen so protected for rain and wind. I think the advantage of this screen is the special shape with some kind of spoiler build in. Safe Miles
Looks very good Jabberjaw... I was waiting for the DVT Pikes Peak to come out as I had a PP screen on my Multi GT which looked really good... But I couldn't wait so cut down the standard original screen, which I like a lot!
The cut down screen changes the airflow - so that the air hits you at the top of the chest - leaving your head in clean air - so it does not get the turbulance and buffeting and noise that you get with the standard - or touring screen. I previously cut down the touring screen after spending £150 to find it made the noise no better / worse.
Ok I still don't know why we owners of multi Dvt didn't use the spacers for the screen ? In early models there used to be a spacer which tilt the screen forward. Is any one know where to get them ?
I recently fitted a small Givi PP style screen on my 2013 S and the difference in wind noise is amazing. I'm 6'2" tall, and find with the std touring screen I get masses of noise, to the point that I'm sometimes struggling to hear my intercom at motorway speeds. The trade-off is the shorter screen requires me to slightly lean in to the extra breeze at 80+mph. But it's sooooo much quieter.
Aztec make them and you can search for them via this forum. I too am interested to find out if I should get the spacers for the standard screen or cut it down and find the free air that way as I am 6'2" plus an AirHawk cushion. I could spend a small fortune trying the spacers only to be plagued by the wind noise.
I've bought a pp screen and tried to fit it tonight only to find that i reckon they've sent me the previous model screen as the three screw holes are smaller, it also has those little white flashes and says pikes peak on each side. I don't think the one for the dvt has those decals on it. Can anyone advise me.
Correct. There's lots of dealers listing parts for the old models as dvt compatible and they just aren't.
