Does anyone else use Evotech shortys on their bike and find the clutch ball achingly hard to use..... even when adjusted in? Is there anyway to make the clutch mechanism any less stiff? Advice/weak-wristed w@nker banter anyone?
Agree, I've got shorty ASV's and they are fine. The Panigale has the lightest clutch of any Ducati I've ever rode.
I use Evotech shortys on my 899 and have the same problem as you, my right wrist is stronger so no problems there!, was wondering if it is a wrist weakness problem (but don't have the same prob on other bikes) , an evotech problem or an 899 problem?
I can never get away with short levers on a Ducati. I personally find that you cannot get the leverage that is required and it makes it so much more effort than with the long levers. I usually change the clutch cylinder as well to make it easier.
Ive found the clutch on the 899 heavy too and wrist aches if travelling through traffic, it is my first Ducati though so just assumed this was one of the 'Ducatis' things. Im using shorty levers too I hate the long ones so my plan to change the clutch cylinder at some point hoping it will make it a bit easier.
everyone complaining such be made to ride a dry clutched bike for a month and then they will realise how good they have it
