Hi folks! last year (2017) I built a 999s track bike into a Sports Classic replica and its got a bit of interest on some facebook groups, I realised I should probably but the images together as it would be good to look back on a reflect on the good, bad and ugly parts of the built (...like chopping up a £300 subframe). I uploaded them all on dropbox so they're safe on the cloud and noticed theres 260 of them! the key things I did were; -Custom 17ltr fuel cell -SC bodywork conversion inc. modified front subframe -Custom WSBK style exhaust -Re-located electronics -lighted Flywheel install/ sprag clutch replacement -LED Rear light with integrated indicators -tail tidy and custom rear subframe tons of other bits and pieces.. Would anyone be interested in a full write up of the project? Be pretty cool to see all costs and time involved, you never really see that! Normally you pay however many thousands and it gets sent away! Let me know, Its pointless spending hours doing it if no-one cares about it!
We all like a good build thread, you'll get a good response from the forum geeks. Get on with it. Steve
errr... No.... Seriously... are you joking? If you now do not do a build thread after the teaser we will mount a possie and lynch ya
Hmmm....got a load of pics from my supermoto build....did it 3 years ago...I did post a few on here...more of the finished item though....mine wasn't as special as that though in all fairness...
Ok Cool, I'll get on it! Its driveable now and in 'stage 1' of the modifications aha, The Most important thing for me is that it goes as well as it looks, so I'm going to do quite a few test/trackdays this year to make sure the ergo's are spot on. Funnily enough I started studying Motorsport Engineering this year so the plan for 2019 is to either race the bike (unlikely) or just use it as a test mule to play with suspension dynamics.
possie? Posse? Opossum? I don't fucken know... Smart arse... What they do in them there cowboy movies... ( and I don't mean the one based on you... ( Brokeback mountain)
A possum, they are Australian too but I think he puts a laggie band around em to prevent them splitting (yes they are really really small)

It is the longest running build thread in the world - but it's keeping everyone enthralled (at least I didn't finish it and then do a super hero speedy thread like most do ) I am busy with stuff and anyhoo - a next instalment will be with us in days/weeks or so
