Show Your Trailer

Discussion in 'Trackdays & Rider Skills' started by DarR, Dec 11, 2019.

  1. Show us your rig for track days or otherwise. Inside and out. I could use some equipment storage ideas.

  4. Nothing, and the weather looks nice. Jeep and box trailer look fun though... and keep wandering eyes / hands off the bike. :)

  5. All about the van now though, trailer is gathering rust.
Unless anyone wants to buy it then it is fantastically maintained.

  8. That's actually quite nice. Tandem wheels are a bonus. I've never seen one like that where the spare has it's own compartment.
One that note, this is my challenge as my spare is located inside. I would like to find a bracket to mount it on the front v-section. Looking for ideas.

  9. This is what I used for racing for couple of years. Racked out the back and one side at high level so I could still get two bikes in and sleep on camp bed if needed. Dual axle is a must imho. Sold for as much as I bought it for

  10. I got mine for a steal. Dual axle would have been nice tho.
Any photos of yours by any chance?

  11. Spare is on the outside. It is recessed into the front.

  12. Anyone using Motolug? Any good??

  13. Sorry no. But lie FE the spare was on the front. I had a partition wall inside at the front about 1 foot deep for things like soft chairs. Steel rails on both side about bar height so you could strap two bikes, either in chocks or against the side. Then just above screen height a couple of box-shelves both sides, so you could put spares, cans etc in there are they wouldn’t move when in transit.
Spent many a night in there when racing, as it was dryer and warmer than a tent ;)

a little tip; like a van, don’t sleep in their when your bike is in there too....:mask:

  15. I had a motolug, good bits of kit, bit fiddly. Got this now, more solid feeling (obviously) and a bit less faff. Though bike fell over a mile from Silverstone. Major sinking feeling looking in rear view mirror.. “Where’s the bike gone!?” 8BEC7002-5909-433F-8569-EE47C7D77A33.jpeg

  16. Unfortunately, a lot of people do over here. Loads of thieving gypo bastards. Anyone with a small trailer needs to protect it. And posting pictures online isn’t a good start. Sad but true....

  17. Just take the wheels off the bike and plonk it in the front
