The Rocket centre in Blackburn will order them in for you £19 a set. I know you can get them on Ebay but could never find my size and the supplier couldn’t advise when he would ever get them. Took about 4 weeks did it over the phone. Found a local Cobbler in Bury who is fitting them over the weekend £12
Has anyone fitted these themselves? If so what did you use? I'm thinking of doing mine myself, as i cannot spare being without them for a day (commuting). Thanks.
Took the original soles of with just a hot air gun. Find a piece of the sole that has started to part company with the boot or start a bit with a sharp knife and start heating with the hot air gun. Grab the sole with a pair of pliers and start pulling the sole away from the boot aiming the hot air at the gap between the sole and the boot.Don't let the leather or plastic get too hot. I was really surprised at how easy the sole separated from the boot.Once the sole has been removed rough up the bottom of the boot to get good adhesion and remove any loose bits of sole and glue. Also rough up the bottom of the new soles as well.I then used a product called Sellys Shoe Glue to stick the sole on.Spread the glue on with a knife and when I was happy with the position of the sole held it in place till the glue cured with tape. Interesting thing was I ended up with size 44 soles on size 43 boots but the fit is perfect. Remember if the soles do not come away from the boot easily you are not getting them hot enough. Honestly thought it was going to be a complete cock up before I started but it ended up being so easy. First picture shows how clean the old sole came off the rest are of the new soles fitted
