But anyway here goes, at this moment in time, I have a multi bike policy with Carol Nash. Well, my renewal quote has come through and it's exactly £100 more than last year, from £444 to £544. So I gave them a call and asked what's up, and the reply was that the Ogden (I think that's what he said) formula had gone up by 10%. Now I'm no Einstein but even I could see those maths don't work. So after some chat on the phone it came down to £464, why didn't they offer me this in the first place I may be cutting my nose off to spite my face but I told them to stuff it. The reason for this post is I'm trying to find out what's the average price for a multi bike (2) policy, what are you peeps paying. p.s. I haven't made a claim since 1979 when I dropped my Laverda
Motorcycle Direct. Legal & Protected NCD. 999 996 GSXR 600 SRAD Ride other bike TP only 30 days europe Garage (YES!) Full NCD. 43 years young (in my prime) £240.12
My insurance renewal from CN came in at £987 from £510 last year (959 and Scrambler Classic). Quick call to DMC Insurance and I had the same benefits/policy but with a lower XS for £412. Called CN and told them what I could get it for and they said they'd match it. I too told them to stick it, and that was after being a customer of theirs for 25 years!
I too dumped Carol Nash. I had my 916 & 1198 on a multibike policy. I tried to put my new 1299 on it when i picked bike up from snells. Id have to wait a day or two they say. Well considering i am sitting outside snells ready to leave and after 1.45 hrs on phone to them, to no avail i called ducati insurance. 30m later all three are insured. Got home and cancelled CN. I am seriously unimpressed with them. They will never again get my business.
ducati insurance. 20k cover over 3 bikes £500 ish with only 2 years ncd. really good to deal with also.
Went with Ducati insurance in the end, £189 f/c for both bikes with no add on's or £300 with add on's. One thing that concerns me a little though reading a little of the small print, it says they reserve the right to use second hand or non oem parts to effect a repair.
Carol Nash lied and didn't cancel my insurance and proceeded to take renewal cash from my account. I am more than seriously unimpressed with these clowns. I would urge all Ducati owners to avoid Carol Nash and I shall be slagging them off whenever the opportunity arises.
