Single Sided Paddock Stand = Heart Failure

Discussion in 'Streetfighter' started by Diver, Mar 5, 2015.

  1. So finally took delivery of my 848 Streetfighter on Tuesday, been out for a spin and totally different to anything I have ever ridden (love it) but the thing that has really got my heart beat up is putting it on the Paddock stand!! its gonna fall I just know it....any tricks or advice ;]

  2. Practice, it so much easier than a normal twin sided paddock stand. Very secure and idiot proof (though some on this forum seem to be able fuck up idiot proof stuff too). Be confident with it, lean the bike against your thighs as you put the stand in the axle. Then flick it down with your foot.

  3. yeah been using my foot but thought that was the act of a desperate man LOL

  4. Yep far easier than a twin sider

  5. really...bloody hell Practice and all that..

  6. Justmak sure its seated all the way in

  7. Just let it sit on the side stand as you put in the pin... and once in, just gently put pressure on the stand so it wil get of the sidestand, once level just put more and more pressure on the stand and lift the bike up, as it flips over its "top dead point" by itself...

BE CONFIDENT (just make sure your pin is completely inside the rear axle!!)

  8. I have the SF too, I have it on side stand slide paddock stand in lean bike upright at which point the paddock stand wheels then bear the weight push on lever and up she goes simples :)

  9. Yeah guys just need to build confidence...cheers tho

  10. Did you click on the link Borgo Panigale posted, the first youtube clip is how I do mine its so easy honest guv

  11. I did , mine does not have the arm though..but found another vid lower down, thx for link really useful :)

  12. Just buy an Abba superbike stand with front lift arm. Superbike Stand - Abba Stands, UK
£168.80 the lot including delivery. Adjust the strap to bring front wheel, rear wheel or both wheels off the ground. Completely unimpeded access at either end, totally secure and a cinch to use single-handed. (The SF kit comes with a rear axle bobbin to attach the strap to). It works brilliantly. One of the best bits of kit you can buy for the money IMO.
