Who has seen it. I know my next lid. Skully demonstrates GPS, rear-view camera in motorcycle helmet | The Car Tech blog - CNET Reviews Skully Helmets
Not one product shot of the actual HUD? or are we supposed to believe the picture with the smaller pic on the bottom side is the real thing.
Well it says it is based on special version of Android so I guess Google glass software. I like this promo video. This Slick Augmented-Reality Helmet Has a Rearview Camera, Weather Reports | Autopia | Wired.com
Whilst I admire the tech, its needs to be transferable between lids. Having it along with a HUD fixed to the lid is a mistake. One off and it needs replacing. I'd buy the HUD if i could use it in my lid. A bluetooth rear camera to bluetooth HUD via a smartphone would be a much better idea.
I'm waiting a while - it won't be long before the tech is licensed and proper lid makers will be doing it too.
Google Glass is about to be banned by the DfT whilst driving. EXCLUSIVE: UK Government in discussion to outlaw Google Glass for drivers | Stuff
It will fail in long term. Google glass will allow you to watch video and browse web, read mail, txt. Skully will not. Then again I do not care will still wear it.
Doubt it. Took few good years for big ones to start putting built in visors as they are to distracting. Built in Bluetooth and speakers is also struggling with big manufacturers. Why?
TBH i ride the bike to get away from all that stuff, phonecalls emails, music etc. Its my escape from the rat race.
Well still GPS on your face so no eyes off road, weather updates, maybe good traffic is all handy. I for example love music when riding, could not care less about sms (can be off for all I care), email or Internet. Phone call maybe in emergency.
You manage not to see speed limit signs as it is, why would giving you more information be sensible/safe for the general public? Stick to the basics first. Or is it the seeback'o'scope so you can view the carnage you have left in your wake?
Well keyboard warrior we are discussing a helmet here. I am not up to discuss London riding/driving with someone who comes here by accident only and has no idea. Car drivers use hud, pilots, ffs pedestrians will soon but no for bikers. I guess in your mind it is safer to look down at GPS for directions over looking at the road. And as an fyi if it has GPS it will also have speed so no need to look at speedo. Finally so where do you get your information about living destruction in my wake..... Have we ever even met or you like to gossip like a little lady?
No keyboard warrior here. Just telling it like I see it. And information comes from your posts of manic riding through the streets of London my dear chap
We all do "manic" riding. Not meet one person on any forum that most of time does speed limit. Minimum plus minus is 10mph.
They'll have trouble banning Google Glasses, though. Or, rather, about as much success as banning drivers from using mobile phones
