1200 Skyhook Sensor Recall

  1. Had the sensor replaced at Blade Reading. Took about an hour and did a good job.
They also did an injector software update, which seems to have made it less lumpy at low revs.

They do a 'visual check' which found a blown number plate bulb and loose chain by 10mm......bit surprised as it's only done 1800 miles and was checked at the first service.

Bought a LED lamp, but what a fiddly job to put it in! Took ages fumbling around....you need tiny fingers.
Then onto the chain. An easy job using the adjuster and gauge in the toolkit, plus my torque wrench to do the hub lock bolts.....but you have to remove the rear crud catcher to get to the hub bolts. What a crap design. 3 bolts loctited in place to remove Didn't bother refitting it to make chain adjusting easier in the future.

Excellent bike, but with irritating design features and poor fixings.

  2. Yeah it is. Mines done 4500 miles and needed a couple of chain adjustments, and getting the black platic thing off is a pain. Its a bit loose now tbh but with a trackday tomorrow going to do it when I get home. May even leave the mudplugger thing off this time

  3. How new was your bike? Purg

  4. Is there a general skyhook sensor recall?

  5. Yes has been since end last year, unless this is another

  6. Bought it new Summer 2013.
Yes, this is the original recall, the only official recall on the 2013 Multi according to Blade.
