    Step 1: Pour diesel over your favourite corner

    Step 2: Go for it

    Step 3: Enjoy your full 50 milliseconds of sliding

    Step 4: Pick up bike, bike bits, and other miscellaneous items that may have become dislodged as you and it were hurtling along the floor...

To be fair I don't think anyone's claiming he invented it; it's that in the current era of traction control and 800-era precision cornering, he's the odd man out, which is what the article was trying to explore. If one tries to work out why he's the only guy to be able to ride the Duc, what he's doing into corners must be a big part of the answer.
