1200 DVT Slight Stutter!

  1. hi guys had a few rides lately and with it still being cold and damp im not winding the bike up and cruising about however ive noticed when im flowing along I can feel the bike ever so stuttering around 2-3k at light constant throttle, ive also noticed the throttle is very on off jerky low down.
the bike 2016 1200s dvt with 9k miles pulls spot on even from low down its just this slight hesitation and im not liking this jerky throttle, I believe theres a fix for the throttle but seems to be only the 1260's with a throttle spacer?
the exhaust valve is stuck open but its had the little plug in resister box fitted under the seat.
running it on the posh e5 petrol too, it had belts done just before I bought it at chris walker ducati and im wondering if theres any possibility the timing was slightly out or does anyone know if you cant really get these wrong?
any ideas of things to check or is it just a character of the twin engine, as I say it pulls like a champion, just the twitchy throttle and slight hesitation around 2-3k!

  2. Overfilling the tank & it overflowing into the thingie bottle?..

  3. Start with removing the exhaust valve module from the system to see if that changes anything. If you want piece of mind regarding timing. Get the covers off and check layshaft and variator punchmarks all line-up. You'll need to manually turn the engine over quite a few times to get to reference.

  4. cheers for replies, actually went out on the bike Sunday and hit 10k miles on the speedo!
strangely enough I was riding with a mate on his tiger 800 so left the bike in urban mode and the bike actually ran spot on and really smooth so wondering if its just the map with the fuelling and throttle feel!
will see how it goes on!
