Only had it a day and already want some but getting very confused! 2012 Evo Corse SE and websites list Akrapovics etc, even Yoshi pipes. You look at the Ducati accressories catalogue at Termis (not that I want Termis) and they list different part numbers for slip ons for the 848 Evo and 848 Evo Corse SE. So what has changed? And what is different between the two 2013 848s?? I am only after slip on pipes, no ecu mapping, retuning etc but with just a nicer sound.....
The termignoni's come with an air filter and replacement ecu in with the price. The part number is different because of the different ecu's for the different models.
So slip on pipes which don't have the air filter/ecu should in theory be the same for the Evo/Evo Corse...? Loving the bike so far, 175 miles in so need to get some miles done!
Does the later bikes not have the fixing springs in a different location to the earlier bikes. In theory you can fit any brand but as mentioned above the springs may be on the inside instead of the outside. The pipes aren't going anywhere once bolted up anyway.
Not sure, will have to check. It was strange a site I looked at last night said the Akras fitted the 2012 Evo Corse but not the 2013 one. I guess they must have changed in between years....
I think if i had an 848, i would fit some of these. All the style of the Termis but a much better finish.
These SCs are nice wish I had seen them before. When I holed a Termi I decided to get something different on my 1098, after all the looking I settled on Quat Ds Ducati 848-1098-1198 Coppia terminali Helluva site cheaper and a lot better made than Termis, in fact I think almost everything is a lot better made than Termi who trade massively on their name, first and last time I ever buy Termis in any shape manner or form. Just my stupid opinion. John
According to the seller these Leo Vince ones are suited despite Leo Vince UK and US not listing the 2013 model at all.... EXHAUST LEOVINCE SBK DUCATI DUCATI 848. FACTORY CARBON 2013 13 | eBay
Just noticed Moore Speed down the road from me have these at virtually the same price and now show as 2013 848. They also have Akras which also now show 2013 848. Clearly changed overnight as yesterday they didn't!
I considered akras and yoshimura cans but when I looked at the cost then to add a power commander and air filter it was fairly similar to the termi cost and the termis don't affect the warranty ill admit the akras look nicer but I'm chuffed with the termis. I had mine fitted at the first service and its like a completely new bike so much smoother at low revs
This is exactly the same thought process that I used. I had mine fitted for when I collected the bike and love the Termis. I wanted the whole setup including the ECU and filter so once I looked at a decent make of pipes, a Power Commander, filter and dyno time / mapping I figured it was much the same cost. Plus the Termis are factory backed so there's no warranty issue like you say and there's no aftermarket amending of any of the wiring etc. Termis look expensive until you consider the whole package. Ok, they're common and maybe don't look quite as slick as the Akras but the overall package meant that they were my preferred option and I'm really glad I've gone that route. 4500 miles since I got the bike and love the Termis every time I'm on it and I love the short slash cut look of them, probably more than the shape of the Akras etc. Andy
You can have akros without that other stuff.. The DP chip is only a base map anyway so even then you would be better having a PC or ECU map Just buy the cans
Does it not mess up the fuelling? I've run bikes before without remapping or rejetting but they've never quite run right.
Them Zard look a bit over priced. There's some Leo vince on eBay for £679 you could get them and fuelling sorted for the same price as most cans
