...the bike is on gumtree at present.... Still not able to put it on here , its under Ducati 998s (not 916 996 748 848) for those who have asked. I'd really like 5400 with a paddock stand and fitted ducati cover. Will also come with a Ducati workshop manual and tool kit, also the other standard bits listed. I also have a renthal carrier £55 delivered too Both tyres are ok, front is a metzeler racetec k2 with 2-3 mm at lowest and rear is a supercorsa with lots of life as not very old. Perhaps seen 800 miles. Do have a matching metzeler rear in good nick too for £50 extra its a lovely bike, no problems, runs a treat. I just need to scratch a new itch. It comes as listed on gumtree with full history, latest service was at motorapido in Winchester and included belts and clutch at £950 in January 5-600 miles ago.
This is the gumtree ad to save you looking lol Up for sale is my beautiful Ducati 998S testastretta. It combines the iconic 916 styling with the more modern engines of the recent superbikes. Its regarded by many as one of the best Ducati's ever made behind a few R/RS models etc. It has a deep sump engine with various titanium upgrades for better reliability and strength and runs faultlessly, never missed a beat. It comes with full Ducati dealer history and was fully serviced in January. This was the main service with belts etc all done. Next service is just filters and fluids. On the service the clutch was replaced along with a cracked water coolant bottle Costing ~£950. This was carried out at motorapido in Winchester. All relays and switches have been changed and it has a new gel battery. There are various tasteful additions, all of which can be removed easily. Carbon bits including; swingarm cover, chain guard, sprocket cover and tank protector all from ducati performance. Red anodized oil breather and ride height adjuster are also fitted by the previous owner. Shock and forks were also serviced by the previous owner and are perfect with all adjustments working fine. I set the bike up recently so have tried them all! The only thing to note is the anodizing on the shock center has faded but you need to be close to see inside it. There is also an FAB upper rad grill fitted to protect the expensive rads! and a rizoma windowed clutch cover with an anodized pressure plate fitted to the new clutch. Having covered nearly 22000 miles there are stone chips in the usual places on the nose cone, v panel and leading edges of the side fairing. Again only visible on close inspection. The only real marks other than stone chips include a small scratch on the right upper panel just under the air runner next to the upper fixing mounts, Chips and marks to the front fender from stones getting stuck in the tyres and hitting the fender edge and a small piece from the nose cone corner being broken off. Its still present and an easy fix but its never bothered me enough to worry about it. If the asking price is nearly met then i'll include a ducati performance fitted cover and a rear paddock stand, otherwise they'll go on here soon after ok I have some standard bits that include the oem clutch cover and a side stand switch which are included too. Im also selling two of my vfr 400 nc30's as i need to free up some space for a newer edition superbike coming soon. Its been a pleasure to ride. Different to any other bike ive had. Once you've gelled with the solid frame and got used to the heavy clutch, Ive not experienced anything like it on the open road. Great in the corners with lovely feedback and power. Makes cbr's etc feel all watered down with its almost back to basics feel. Will be sad to see her go but its time for a change...
I have now matt. My bike wasn't listed in the classified section so I couldn't post it originally. Thats why it was put here whilst it was added. Cheers for thinking of me though I'm leaving the pics up though as I could only get 5 in the bikes section
Hi im interested in a rear stand, do you or anyone else reading this know if it would fit an 07 hypermotard? Many Thanks
It will fit bikes with the smaller 44mm hub to wheel fitting. I have a forged Ali rear which fitted from a hypermotard but I know there were 2 sizes.... I'm happy to measure the pin size in a bit for you. The bearing pin stand is far better as its easier to lube the chain etc with a rear wheel that spins easily although both are very usable. The bearing pin one is black and only a year old. I bought it because it was easier than the red stand!
