I'm travelling for work tomorrow and will possibly end up having to kill a couple of hours around the Slough Trading Estate area. Any interesting bike dealers in the area for me to kill time at with a wander round the showroom? I know PDQ are just up the road, but they are not really somewhere to spend any time. Strangely My father taught me to drive around the Slough Trading estate in the early 80's, but I've not been anywhere near there for 35yrs.
Funny you should mention that estate, holds a special place for me when thinking of the specialty Industries tied up with F1 together with the Brooklands/Byfleet/Weybridge area many years ago.
Chris, I worked at a building next door to the Brooklands Museum for a few years. Our car park cut into the original banking.
I was around there in the late 80s too. My first full time job was in Slough at a biotech company called Celltech and I lived about halfway between the Horlicks and the Mars factories, so I may have witnessed your first ineffectual attempts to perform a hill start.
