Can anybody identify the seat unit and fairing on this? Looks so much better than normal, maybe got alot to do with the pipes too. I was just looking for 900SS images and saw it.
Pretty cool, I know an SS with a 916 seat too. I wouldn't mind considering to do it myself but you need to do some underseat bracket work. There are picture of mine (with the big 1 on the seat) and the 916-seated SS here: https://plus.google.com/u/0/photos/114856191435620576212/albums/5744590396142526193 The fairing is the short og the half fairings, I have the 'standard'/'long' one which I like better because it has a rear bracket. I have heard people complain about the fairing rattling like crazy when you are driving. br Jim
I've got a standard half fairing on mine and the standard lump of a seat unit, would like to dump the fairing but far too much wiring and stuff under there. I like the riding position of the SS's but also its good to feel the wind pressure on your body and arms and see the front end too.
This company make 916 style seats which fit the ss frame mounts. DUCATI DESMO DUE RACE BODYWORK very good quality and much stronger than the RW german seats.
