Oh dear, terrible news.

 

Terrible news, hope it wasn’t anyone on here. It’s never nice but seems worse when you know them.

Such sad circumstances. Only last week there were three fatalities in a two bike head on accident up north.

 

Very sad for everyone involved but I am going to be a little controversial, standard of some bike riding this weekend has been awful, nearly collected 2 bikers in the space of 10 minutes yesterday both on corners with oncoming bikes on my side of the road (I was in the car)both way to close for comfort ,I can only assume riding tired or dehydrated as it was late afternoon. Be safe everyone.

 

I'm sorry to say this but a lot of weekend bikers ride well beyond their capabilities and avoid disaster because of the capabilities of others

 

Or just poor riders…

 

I had the opposite happen to me.

Was braking in good time for a band then 50 meters from the bend and old boy in a car comes round it in my lane.

Further application of brakes in a hurry and getting virtually into the hedge avoided a collision.

Lord knows what was going through his head but there was not even an acknowledgment of my presence.

Anyways it’s a shame we’ve lost two more and my thoughts go out to their families. Sad times.

 

Poor judgement on their part either because of fatigue or the cloak of invincibility.

 

We don’t actually know the facts of what happened yet fellas , steady on. RIP to them both

 

Totally agree with @fatbob99 here - this and the other appalling event involving six tragic deaths of fellow human beings - we don’t know what happened in either event so best not say anything speculative/made up please as it does not help those who have died or their loved ones.

 

RIP. Feel so sorry for the people they left behind.

So sad to hear about so many losing their life.

It’s not a comment on what happened near Buxton but like others I have seen some appalling riding standards this summer from some bikers.
The road isn’t a race track. There are plenty of opportunities on track to try your bike in places where you can push the limits. UK roads are just to busy to do that now.
