I’m glad Bridewell rolled back a bit on his gob shite interview from Saturday, but he rode phenomenal! It’s a shame the R1’s aren’t quite their power wise. Even if they were within 10hp they would be close, in reality from what the rumours say the R1 is 30HP down

He said he’d told Birdy ‘you’ll either be happy or angry. I’m winning even if I have to ride through him’ or similar. And he had lifted him and they were racing hard. Good to see.
yeah it was basically that, but pre-faced with a few passive aggressive comments about how he doesn’t have a track covered in spotters and does it all himself and doesn’t need to be friendly with anyone
I don’t find any of that a problem. Tommy’s a good, honest rider who concentrates on his racing. He wears his heart on his sleeve and some of his comments have been hilarious (did you hear his answer when asked about the energy gel he was necking on the grid?). I hope it wins this year, it’s about time.
Tbh he came across as a right tosser imho in that interview. All about him, how great he is, how hard he works…oh and yeah and team do some stuff…. He has an air of entitlement, which seemed to grow from his success at Rapido and now has grown legs. I’m less of a fan than I was…. The Bridewell paddock jacket I have won’t be seeing light again
