I got bored of the standard 600ss brake reservoir during my rebuild, deciding to go to the 748/916 style remote reservoir.. But once finished and all re built, I couldn't help but think it looked a bit too Japanese for my liking. Being a fan of the supermono , especailly it's cockpit, I set about sourcing the reservoirs from a Supermono... and this is what my cockpit now looks like (sorry for the poor quality pic) - I just need the clutch master cylinder to arrive Loving having my Duke back, may the fun commence! Next on the list for the cockpit is relocate the fuse box, and create some kind of carbon infill where it now resides, also to do something (not sure what yet) with the clocks with an aim to get rid of the idiot lights. And some nice clip ons - tempted by either the SES ones or Renthal ones
Dr Duke in Ireland had clearance issues with the clutch and brake reservoirs hitting the fairing.............I suggested that if he had end plugs in the clip-ons, to pull them out and use a couple of large diameter wellnuts in the end of the clip-on which allowed the reservoir brackets to be bolted to them.......It worked out fine apparently........
Oh, fair enough No such issues here! plenty of space - the forks are dropped a fair bit through the yokes and clip ons as low as possible, which probably helps!
will that pot not foul anything? What about vibration? Aren't they normally fitted to an additional 'arm'?
Nothing is fouled by anything and to combat vibration, I have mounted with rubber 'o ring' washers. - the 916 style ones were fitted via an 'arm' but that's what I got bored of - ugly in my opinion. the Supermono, from what I've seen mount straight to the top yoke (all be it underneath, not on top like mine)
