  1. I need a new one as mine is a Black & Decker freebie i believe i got when joining Sky :)

Would like one that has extensions to the ratchet handle etc, complete basically. Any recommendations?

    Thanks.

  2. Can't go far wrong with the Halfords Professional socket sets, especially if they have a promotion on.
    Well made and great value

  3. tbh , imo putting extensions onto a ratchet handle is not a good idea, best to crack off with a T bar , with extension if ness , and then continue with the ratchet,, just my penny worth. ,,, an easy extension is the tubular handle for the small hydraulic jack, if you have one , will fit over most Tbars .

  4. As above Halfords Pro are the new snap on. Anything you break can just be taken back and they replace no questions asked. Always good promos on as well.

  5. As @Old rider says, the Halfords range is very good. I bought this a couple of years back. It's a few quid, but you get a lot of high quality items for that money.

    Halfords Advanced Professional 200...

  6. Yep, had Halfords Pro for nearly 20 years with not one issue (might not be the same manufacturer now though) usually half price - if not wait a week or two and they will be.

  7. Do you feel you need all that lot Rob, or would a say 90 piece one be just as handy for our bikes?

  8. No I don't need it all tbh. I must have 5 sets of ratchet spanners for example and god knows how many sockets.

But it was such a good deal at the time, iirc it was £99 a couple of xmas's back.
