  1. Guys, someone just made an offer on the 748 after seeing it this weekend.

Now, I need to get it taxed and MOT'd, but I don't have a insurance policy sadly, and one day insurance means you have to be 25, I'm 24... Bugger.

Asked my insurance company that my 1098S policy is with, they said I have to add it to the policy for the remaining time in order to insure it.

So, who can I trust to give my money to insure it for one day allowing me to ride it in order to get it sorted? Obviously with the policy allowing me to ride it.

    Cheers :)

P.s. I am going to be very sad to see the old girl go, had many great times on her that will never be forgotten. Expect a rather mushy and personal write up about my 3 years with her. A relationship I don't want to end.

  2. How about finding an MOT station with a van who will pick it up from you?

  3. Yeah, get the test as above and then just knock the price of the tax off n let the new owner tax it with his insurance....

  4. It doesn't need to be taxed to ride it to a MOT as long as its booked in with a test centre that is reasonably local and that you only use the bike to go to the test centre. As above take the cost of the tax off the selling price.

  5. Agreed Drinky, but I believe you still must be insured on the vehicle ? I believe the problem with freshage is that he can't get that "one time" insurance at a reasonable price.

  6. Borrow a bike trailer?
    Local man with a van?

  7. Problem solved, took out a normal policy, costing £150 for the year, so was about £40 deposit under monthly payments.

Will cancel on Monday, within the 14 days of full refund thingy thanks to the FSA, will get my money back minus the £25 admin charge :)

Now, just waiting for the database to update so I can get tax.
