  1. So, in our new house now bit more work than we thought grrrrrrrr anyho wanting a decent surround sound, was looking at the sonos today? They tell me that the sonos works as a good sound system? I do want wireless rear speakers so any thoughts :)

  2. Interested in this..been thinking of a sound bar but like the idea of wireless sound throughout the house

  3. Ive got the Sonos 3 boxes. They work well as stand alone units or paired as stereo speakers. All my music is ripped and stored on a NAS drive and I stream from that. I used the free subscription to Napster for six months. That was ok but couldnt find half the stuff I wanted so cancelled it. The sound qualty is good and will go more than loud enough for my needs. I keep getting emails from Sonos promoting their products and ive seen the stuff about using it as surround sound. Ive no idea how that would work though as surround sound is usually driven by an amp with outputs for each speaker. Bear in mind that each speaker needs power so its not really wireless, and you need to have a power socket near to each speaker. I like the portabilty of it, take a speaker outside in summer for bbqs. The control via an android phone or pad is great too and the latest version of the software lets you stream from your mobile device or pc so no need for a NAS drive. Ive got a dedicated surround sound amp and wired speakers in my living room though which has got to be cheaper than buying 6 sonos devices.

  5. Just needs a few more Marshall's

  6. looks like my living room...except its mesa boogie amps with marshall cabs

  7. I run macs at home. Thus i just use apple base stations with powered speakers to stream anywhere in the house. From iTunes. Cheap and flexible.
