Source For Leathers - Stretchy Panel Material?

Discussion in 'Clothing, Gadgets & Equipment' started by The Royal Maharaja, Mar 17, 2024.

  1. Hey!

does anyone have a source for the kind of material (not even sure what it is!) that the stretchy panels use in leathers? - I asked a professional repairer, and the quote was 300€ to remove and refit 4 stretch panels... I kinda like the jacket, but not that much! ...So I'll do it myself...if I can find really good quality material (only want to do the job once ;))

    Cheers

  3. I know that is a euphemism...ya cheeky dog! :D The jacket has just been very well used for a good number of years...seems a shame to chuck it for the sake of a bit of stitching..

  6. Another vote for Hideout Leather: top-notch service and craftsmanship :upyeah:

You can post the jacket to Hideout if it’s easier than visiting.

  7. Another big plus for Kate & the gang. Did repair work on my BKS leathers & added a pocket & waist zip to my Knox mesh jacket. Quality work :upyeah:

  9. I’d be even more concerned about the seam burst strength than the material. It takes know-how to determine where double- versus triple-stitching is needed, which thread to use, how to stitch it together securely, etc.
