Hi guys, I was talking to someone who is very knowledgeable on the 851 and 888 bikes. He swears that the SP2 runs much better using the FIM SP4 map (eprom). Has anyone else tried this? Does anyone know if the map on the FIM Ultimap eprom was just the standard one that could be edited? I have the stock SP3 and SP4 eprom but didnt want to put it on my bike for fear of blowing it up.
The SP2,3 and 4's have near identical motors/state of tune. They all have the same comp' ratio, valves 33/29, capacity @ 888cc, airbox, exhausts (apart from the SP2 that has low level cans), all run P7 ECU'S and twin injectors per cylinder. So as long as the injectors are the same colour? I can't see why a SP4 chip won't run a SP2. Steve R aka Mr R
