  1. Anyone fancy it, booking on Monday, will go over the night before and camp somewhere close to the circuit.

  2. Spa is an awesome track. Bike or car it is a must, i instruct there in Porsches and have done trackdays there with Biker days.
Well worth it, weather can catch anyone out any time of the year. If you have some take a spare set of wets.

  3. I do, its a new track for the, this year, and seeing Kope's bids makes me want a crack. Have to check diary and cost. Close enough to get 4 in a car and share the cost

  4. It's £330 for the two days, four groups and garages are extra so not particularly cheap for the amount of time on track but who cares, it's Spa?

might have to take the 1098 as well as the RC8 as Thursday is a 101db day and the 8 blows 102.

  5. Have posted on NL FB wall because its so unclear what you are buying and how much it costs!! Assume you have to get your bike there? And more for garages?! Wtf is that all about, it doesn't cost more at any UK track...

  6. I've booked :)

Need to get the D16 noise tested !

  7. This going to be a convoy of vans event then...

  8. Yes I think so

  9. Have you booked a crossing yet Dave?

  10. I'm planning on going over Weds afternoon then back on Friday night. Will book the crossing on Monday as well whilst the prices are at £50ish each way.

  11. I suspect I'll do the same

  12. Guys, don't know what the score is with No Limits but the Trackdays on the 7/8 aug are official days organised by the Belgium trackday company "Biker days". Here is a link to their website which is available in English.
ATTENTION : new subscription system for the 2014 Bikers
I have done many days with Biker days and they are usually very well run. Assume NL have maybe got a block booking or something. But have a trawl on the BD site above as there is a lot of general info on there.

  13. I've taken this off the NL website, as Doogalman says NL are using the Bikerdays booking, so other than there being 4 groups (Newcomer - Fast - Very Fast - Racer) and a race mid way through Friday and differing noise limits, the chance of snow at one end of the circuit and hurricane Betty at the other every things fine...... I don't care, I'm booking it tomorrow.

Set in the beautiful Belgian Ardennes countryside and being only 3 hours from Ostend or 3 to 31/2 hours from Calais it is easy to get to. At 4.3 miles the Spa circuit will no doubt be the longest track on the No Limits calendar. It is also described by many as one of the most popular in the world. With 20 corners combined with a fast, hilly and twisty nature there is a lot to learn.
This event is being run in conjunction with DG Sports of Belgium. All riders will be supplied with a transponder and groups will be monitored according to their lap times. There will be 4 groups with 5 x 25 minute sessions on the first day and 4 x 25 minute sessions on the second day. Day two has an endurance race scheduled half way through the day! The reason for running 25 minute sessions rather than 6 x 20 minute sessions is because of the sheer length of the circuit. With lap times being 2.1/2 to 3 minutes, 20 minute sessions would simply not be enough.

  14. I have a mate that has a B&B near Spa . He is redoing his website at the moment but will post a link when he's done in case anyone wants digs close by. He's a biker aswell.

  15. Thought you are Germany based or is this a cross border enterprise for you

  16. Yup Germany based nowadays, living full time 11 clicks from the Ring. Spa is only 70 clicks from us so easy to get work there as the Two concerns i coach for at Spa are more or less German based. In uk for a couple of weeks for family stuff prior to getting back there for the rest of winter and the start of 2014. Should be a busy year as i think i got 10 days planned at Spa coaching in a GT3rs. What with all the other Ring/Spa stuff and then the eve job working as a chef, Tough but some mug has to do it.

  17. 101 dB.... very funny. Think mine ran 116 dB when it was tested on GP system without baffles, but it depends what revs they make you hold. I think that was at about 7k revs....

  18. Nothing beats the buzz of charging down from La Source hugging the pitwall on the right as you prepare to go into Eau Rouge, and up over Radion and the flat chat charge to Le Combe.
    Awesome stuff

Sadly not me but a great view of the track from a proper bike

  19. They are quite strict as the noise is monitored by the local council. However they will not normally soundtest you if they see a baffle. Everyone else without is held and tested at the end of pitlane, if you fail then go fix it then they'll let you out.
Normally if they have to pull you off they are obliged to kick you out for the rest of the day
If in doubt about it just get them to test it for you before you go out.
