Spa Francochamps

Just returned from a brilliant few days at Spa,did the trackday on Thursday and watched the Bikers Classic on Friday Saturday and Sunday.
Thursday 31 degrees hot or wot ,got signed on and noise tested went to go out on first timed session and noticed I hadn't zipped my leathers up, only to discover I had , the zip had broken NIGHTMARE all this way and a problem like this. Anyway managed to fix the zip and got out at the front of the second session and made sure I wouldn't let the earlier problem spoil my day.
The afternoon sessions started and the zip came undone again,right, out with the cable ties no more worries on that score but remember the temperature boy was I hot
Used two tanks of fuel, the first fill up at 49 miles , that place is so fast!
Great day on the track over ,back to the hotel and a beer then a shower before more beer.
Friday Rode the bike down into Spa and had a coffee and ice cream and did a bit of [people] watching then up to the circuit at around mid day to watch practice for the 4hr endurance race and the German Superbikes [American superbikes] left the track around 7 30 pm and met up with friends from trackday for a meal and a good old wind down.
Saturday Rain!!! got to the track at around 10am bought a brolly and watched bikes all day, endurance ace started at 8pm and we left the track at around 10 30pm These riders must have balls like coconuts to race in the wet and dark as well ,remember these are classic bikes Laverdas Guzzies Z1000 Kawasaki's etc skinny tyres and not very bright lights.
Sunday ,suns out again German superbikes and Parade's !!!!! of outfits and GP bikes Sarron, Plater, Grant. Hartog ,Baker and what a show they put on.
All in all a fantastic 4 days ,the 3 days watching only cost 40 euro's if you ever get the chance its the Bikers Classic in early July every year, do it its my fifth time now and I can't see me not wanting to go next year.
