  1. 2004 ST3

Changing belts today and ran against a problem with the RH spark plugs - cant fit any socket or spanner in to remove them.

I haven't got the original tool supplied with the bike

Anywhere sell a tool that will gain access? There isn't hardly any room around the plug...

  2. You need a very narrow walled plug socket. I ground mine down to fit. The other thing I've had to do before is remove the screws from the cam housing to allow it to rotate and give better access to the plug itself. It seems to mask the line of the plug to prevent the socket going on squarely.

  3. The worst one is the rear RH side - nightmare - the other one wouldn't fit either though on RH side
Managed to turn over with 2 plugs removed to be able to get to TDC but want to be able to remove those two plugs as well when needed
Will try grind down a socket! Thanks Nelly
