  1. I have come to remove my plugs on my 848 and encountered an issue removing them due to clearance, now I have turned a 10mm socket down on the lathe to reduce the dia but it seems to be struggling with clearance. now can anyone shed any light on how or where I can get a plug socket to do the job?? now when I bought the bike 3 months ago it didn't come with a tool kit of which I understand there is one in there. currently stuck can anyone help????

  2. I'm guessing you have NGK plugs in there.
NGK have the hexagon, the plug spanner locates on, sited further down the body of the plug than oem.
The well the plug sits in is tapered, so a normal socket can't reach it.
The solution is to either get a special thin wall socket or turn an ordinary one down.

  3. I used the plug tool in the ducati kit, worked great on ngk plugs

  4. Lucky you. I had to file my 999 oem one down.
