1200 DVT Spark Plug Replacement & Gaps

  1. Hi everyone hope you're all ok and coping with lockdown.
Looking for advice of changing spark plugs on the 1200 DVT 2015 particularly the side of each cylinder. Also does anyone know the recommend spark plug gap, please? The owners manual is pants, and a online forum shows "0.8mm ÷ 0.1mm" does the ÷ symbol mean tolerance e.g. +/ - ?
I'll try to attach two photos if I can - 1st from owners manual and 2nd from online forum.

    Thanks for any advice.

  2. You don,t gap new spark plugs, and they are iridium as well so will last for a long long time. You buy them and put them in.

  3. The plugs in your DVT are twin electrode type. There’s no adjustment on them as such as the earth legs are too small to bend safely. Once the gap on both electrodes gets above 1mm then your over limit on them.
They’re a pain in the arse to change, especially the side plug on the rear. There was a thread a while back covering it.
