I was lucky, I won a competition on the forum and got a voucher for the Sportsbikeshop a while back. Don't quite know how. So I thought I'd take a ride and see what they were all about. It was worth the trip, as I walked in I decided a pair of new boots were what I really needed, as opposed to a TomTom rider 400. Partly because my iPhone app took me straight there and partly because the selection of new boots looked 'spankin!' It's warehouse with a shop, so good stock. Young James on the staff went way beyond the call of duty and ran me through as aaall the colours and sizes and explained all the models. And he stayed after closing time to do it, which I was very pleased about after having ridden up there. Having selected my new Sidi foot mounted sat navs the problem was how to get them home on a Sportsbike. No problem, 'put it all in online and we'll have them to your door next day'. I went for some fancy looking Sidi ST's. They fitted my foot, which I considered important and were much easier to do up than some of the multi buckle, ski boot type. All that faff would drive me nuts once the initial pleasure had worn off. So I've delayed this report because these boots turn out not only to be useless as satnavs but also..... I didn't want to take them out in the rain! Jesse. C'mon they're new new n shiny. If it looks like it might rain I use the old boots and the old bike, simples. And it has rained, since July. Also it's not worth reporting back until you've worn them in a bit. Naturally they're a bit stiff at first compared to the old ones but that passes and I only missed the gear lever once. One slight detail about the boots. I've read reports of other "Pornygirly" riders not being able to get their prop stands down. This confused me as it hasn't been a problem for me. However, the new boots have what I can only describe as a Cuban heel. Presumably to make it easier to walk. The heel doesn't quite engage with the prop stand. So it's a toe job or I'll have to think of a fix. Hasn't put me off the boots tho. Spankin boots, very happy with them, great service and I'd shop with Sportsbike again. In fact I'm working out a new order because you get not just 1 but 2 discount vouchers from them when you buy the boots. How do they make that work? Great stuff.
Used them a few times now.. even had no issues returning stuff and refunds. They do what they say on the tin.. get it there next day in stock! DPD courier service is good as well letting you know the time of delivery and making alternative arrangements if not in etc. Only negative for me was I have rung up a few times to ask about stuff and the staff have not really known any more than I have about some items. Just seems they chuck it up on the website (with the default manufacturers descriptions) so Ive been no better off knowing if it is right for my situation or not. However if you know what you want it all works great. Now.. where to win a voucher. Did you have to get some of those fancy thumbs up things from fellow members? Please, please like this message?
Used them many times, very friendly/helpful and fantastic customer service! Never had a single issue with them. 10/10 in my opinion.
That'll be me then  :Hilarious: Problem I sometimes have is with my Sidi Vortice, boots, just the type you said would drive you nuts after a while. My experience regarding the complexity of the Vortice is just the opposite, at first they drove me crazy with all the tabs and catches, but after a while I got used to all the bits and pieces and can whip them on and off without a second thought. Supremely comfortable boot and they certainly feel like they'd do the job in an off. As far as the sidestand it wasn't getting it down per se it was one of the clips dragging on the stand and trying to trash itself. I can always get the stand down but sometimes it takes more than one attempt and it doesn't help if yer a short arse though I do wonder if the mini skirt and sussies are part of the problem. Back on Topic never been to the Warehouse but ordered quite a few bits and pieces and always had first class service, get my
There is a competition part of the forum list up menu and you will find it around the bottom You put your name down and your randomly selected @El Toro will put me right if I'm wrong There was a set of tyres the other day
Just to add - bought my leathers from them on interest free - all worked out fine....leathers are still good (if anything a little more comfortable now) and squared the interest free up early also. All good.
