Hi all - I've just agreed to buy a '97 ST2, pretty good except some of the 'bars' aren;t lighting up properly on the LCD display. I'd assume the display is scrap once it starts going, but does anyone have a different experience or suggestions? cheers
I'm pretty sure I've seen a company on TV that specialises in repairing all sorts of car digital displays. I can't for the life of me remember what they were called, but they were shown repairing a digital display out of a BMW car that had a bunch of missing pixels. May be worth a bit of Google research?
If you can split the casing. Use some isopropyl alcohol to clean the contacts for the LCD display on the circuit board and the rubber conductor strip for the LCD.
