St2 Not Revving

Hello all
My ST2 was spluttering so I replaced the plugs and fuel filter. This has stopped the splutter and lumpiness but now will not rev past 6000rpm. When I throttle off it pops in the exhaust.
Has anyone had this before?

Yes

could be several things of course but makes me think of perished pressurised fuel hose in tank but I think you would have seen this during fuel filter change.

Thanks for coming back to me. I didn't notice it but will strip it again later today and check. Maybe I didn't check thoroughly enough....
