Hi, don't know if anyone can help but my ST3 is being a real pain! I only got it in May and love it but have had problems twice now with it not starting. The first time was only a couple of days after a decent ride out. I went to start it but when turning the key, there was nothing!! Obvious thought was battery, new one purchased and fitted, optimate also purchased and in use. Today, took the wife to work, went and had a 25 mile ride to a mates, came back to pick the wife up, get out to bike and guess what? Yup, nothing showing on the dash! Looking round other pages, the voltage regulator seems to crop up frequently but would this show in this way?
Hmm, could be the old crappy reg/rec problem. If you want to make sure, a quick google search will show you how you can test the reg/rec using a multimeter. If you are going to replace the reg/rec, use a newer MOSFET type, you can pick up cheap used ones on eBay, I fitted one from a ZX10R to my ST2!
