ST4 coming my way

  1. Oh well, I wasw looking for something nice for daily commuting, sunday riding and general fun and after considering all kinds of bikes with decent riding positions I went out to look at an ST4 I knew had been sitting unused for a couple of years.

I was expecting a tired looking, TLC-needing bike and was surpriced to find a great looking, really well kept ST4 shining in the sun. It has been prepped for occasional track use with Öhlins back and front and a full engine service and after a track slide on the right side everything has been fixed no expense spared.

Couldn't walk away without agreeing to buy it and it will even be serviced with belts, oil and new batteri before I get it thursday. I really missed riding the street last year after selling my 900SS even if I did 18 trackdays in 2013.

Oh well, no Suzuki SV/GSR/V-Strom, Aprilia Shiver/Dorsoduro/Pegaso/Falco, BMW F800, Kawa Z750 this time. I know I will love to ride the ST4 though and I am looking forward to ride it for longer trips too.

  2. Great all rounder. You chose well. Pics?

  3. Got it yesterday, what a great comfortable Duc with most of the fun still there

It has been equipped with full Öhlins front and rear and setup for track use for a smaller fortune.

I just need to tighten the fork bearings, adjust the levers and reverse the gear shift to match my track bikes and I'm ready for summer :upyeah:

  4. Nice one!
    Well wear.

Interested to hear what the Ohlins treatment on the forks has been. Have seen much criticism of the ST series forks of late.

  5. Looks good... Let us know how you get on... :upyeah:

  6. Nice one. Mine was tired and a non-runner, with a siezed chain. But it was great once it was all done and on the road.
