Hi all, Had a search around a few Ducati forums including this one but can't find what I'm looking for. There are Ducati Desmoquattro decals on either side of the seat unit on my W registered ST4. I've been using a Givi tail pack, and despite using strips of material under the bungee cords they've rubbed a little bit of one decal off and the whole letter q from the other. I've been trying to source the decals online but they don't seem to have been applied to the ST4 at all, or my bike is an exception to this. I've attached pictures below, the letters are raised and there's no visible boundary to them so assume the letters transfer from the backing individually. If they're non standard I may have a rethink about what I put on the bike, but they are very high quality tactile decals and if they are standard i'll replace them. I have a suspicion though that they may have been intended for the 916/996.
Nitro, do you want to replace them? If so measure the rectangular space of the letters and let me know, I can do these for you at forum rates of course...
I don't think that these are a standard fitting. All the ST4's I've seen have "DUCATI Sportouring" on each side of the seat panel and "DUCATI" in big lettering with "ST4 desmodromica" under it on each fairing side panel. These are what is listed in the parts list.
Where in the rule book does it say 'Thou shalt keep thy bike entirely standard?' I don't believe it is a standard sticker but if you like it ... do it.
Thanks for the replies. It seems they're not standard after all then. I've removed the Desmoquattro lettering due to some letters getting rubbed off, looks pretty good as it is now. come spring when the weather becomes milder (bike is ridden 5-6 days a week all year) i'll have another think about what I'm doing paint/decals-wise.
