Stainless steel rear wheel nut?

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by Trancey, Mar 29, 2013.

  1. My rear wheel nut is looking a bit corroded, does anyone know if a stainless steel nut is available? I can find titanium, but only in the USA and there's usually import duty to add.

  2. I think it's more the principle of having to pay the customs duty than the price....I got stung 30 quid for a 100pound item....that's a lot of duty!

  3. Not that I want one but a question - how come its a "rear wheel axle nut kit titanium for Ducati" and there are two of them?
and why is it made from aluminium?colour: titan
    material: high-strength/ billet aluminum
    brand/producer: cncracing 2 pieces

  4. and the fact that I'm not bothered about Ti, stainless is OK with me, thank you.

  5. Drive side and wheel side, it replaces both.

  6. No point in replacing the Duc fur magnet with an Aluminum one!

  7. Leave the ali one alone IMO. Lot of torque need on the back wheel nut!

  8. find somebody willing to ship the part and mark the customs declarationas second hand bike parts value $10
