848 Standard Front Fork Rebound Range

  1. Evening. I have just bought an '08 848, and I am checking over the front suspension setup. Can anyone advise what the standard Showa 848 front fork rebound range is. I know the standard setting is 12 clicks, but currently I only have 13 clicks range.

I would have expected something like 24 clicks range (i.e. Standard/recommended setting in the middle of the range), but can't find anything that specifies what this is.

Any info' would be appreciated. Thanks a lot.

  2. I have just spoken to a Ducati service technician - range is upto 18 clicks. Useable range is between 3 & 15 clicks.

  3. If you intend to use it on track, get it spring and valves or (if budget allows) a cartridge kit in the front. But go ttx or other high quality rear shock, makes a huge difference

  4. Thanks for the advice. I won't be putting the 848 on the track at the moment - but will take note if/when I do.
