1098 Standard Ride Height Eye To Eye?

  1. Would anyone do me a favour and measure thier ride height adjuster on the 1098 from mounting eye to eye please? I'm pretty sure mines been faffed with so just trying to get it somewhere near standard. I can then start setting it up for me then :)

  4. As in the workshop manual

    Warning
    The length of the tie-rod (2) between the centres of the two ball joints (1) must not exceed 166.7 mm.

  5. Centre to centre mine seems to measure about that :( Right new tyres next then. I'll be back.

  6. The manual I have quotes 166.7mm as the stock length...

    "The centre-to-centre distance between the two ball joints should be 166.7mm.
    When this distance is changed, the motorcycle chassis attitude will be affected."

    There are a couple of manuals... the one that is predominantly downloaded on the 'net was a draft and is riddled with errors.
