Picked up a st3 at the weekend and found that it has a starcom 1 installed and fully wired up (plus lots of other goodies that didnt realise had on !) Had a quick look at their website and tbh a little confused I would like to be able to listen to music and also hear turn signals from a GPS I know that lots of gps are bluetooth-able and also work as an mp3 Been looking at a garmin 660 for example I havent yet picked up the gps but wonder the best way to go and whether I actually need to use the starcom at all?? I have no desire to talk to a pillion or to another rider btw.....
I've got a Starcom. To get it to work with a bluetooth enabled GPS, I needed to buy the bluetooth add on dongle, which was an extra £80. The headsets are about £25 (I needed to buy a new one as the connector broke after a month, which they wouldn't warranty). A lot of bluetooth GPS sets are sold with a bluetooth headset for your helmet. Just don't get a Scala rider as I had one and it was rubbish for maintaining bluetooth pairing.
