Dunno....My R came with one too (GPS-3 version). No instructions but I see that they are available to download. Never used it but am leaving it on the bike for the moment.
Yes, I visited their web site and it's pretty straight forward. Pdfs of the manuals and software updates. Trick bit of kit but not sure what value I would get and very not sure about having something to distract my attention. Andy
Depends on your goals. Going faster or having fun. Alas one often overtakes, and destroys, the other...be warned!
Having fun now and always, only reason for me doing it. The R has a lap timer if I really want to know. Andy
