  1. I took my bike to have the front tyer changed, i took the wheele off and put it back on.Then tried to start it and it took a while to start, normaly starts first time got it home, Went to start it for work the next morning,it turned over but would not fire up checked all the HT connections all good but no spark at plugs all electric connections are good. The plugs are only a couple of months old.

  2. not too hot on the later ones but am guessing it could either be the sidestand switch playing up or even an ignition related fuse as it's v. unusual for both cylinders to have no spark. Do you get a red ignition light come up on instruments like the earlier models when switched 'on' by switch above starter button?

  3. The fuses are good. The lights on the instruments that come on are nutral, low fuel then a red light in the clocks.

  4. red light 'in the clocks' is ignition?

  5. Red light is oil pressure, so that's normal, does the fuel pump engage, you should hear a click and whir when you turn the ignition on. If not then check the fuse and relay, relay is below the clocks I think. When it happened to me it was the timing sensor, not necessarily the first think to look for but worth checking to see if you caught or pulled it while you were working on the wheel.
    Good luck

  6. The fuel pump dose kicks in

  7. thank you pat you were right it was the timming sensor connector Thank you:smile:

  8. fits the symptoms perfectly, had the same on an early SS with Weber control unit.
