Bolt snapped for reasons unknown. Riding without a functional damper doesn't appeal... options for bolt removal?
Drill it and first try and use a bolt extractor, if it comes out then chase the thread and use some coppaslip. After that you could try the above, use a very strong drill bit that will effectively cut into the bolt, something like a cobalt drill bit.
