  2. :)
Grossglockner had 1 inch snow in the top car park when we were there in 09. Still awesome.
Going to do Davos to Stelvio, Timmelsjoch and more in two weeks time. Hope my MTS continues to run so spot on in a few weeks time...
    More pics required ;)

  3. Yep, remember the ride up to the Grossglockner last year - good craic.

  4. Rode the Grossglockner last year in late September, I would have enjoyed it a lot more there hadn't been low cloud and a lot of rain:

DSCN5308.JPG DSCN5316.JPG DSCN5321.JPG It was a lot drier and warmer on the Stelvio, the day before:

  9. Just come back from the European Multistrada Meet on Tuesday, a fantastic event attended by riders from as far afield as Australia, very well organised and was based at San Candido which is very close to the Timmelsjoch and Grossglocker which we rode twice. What an amazing place to ride around, views stunning and loads of roads to play on.

We even managed to ride the B500 in the Black Forest on the way home which has to be my favourite non mountain road.

It was my first EMM but won't be the last, a superb event and I have made lots of new friends some of which are on this forum. A big thank you to all who took me in and looked after me!

    Pete.

  10. Just back from the EMM as well and we did the Grossglockner, went early in the morning (friday), empty roads, but by 11 it was filling up with coaches.

We also did the Timmlesjoch in both directions (tip you can buy a return ticket for €2 more - don't tell Pete though!).

The routes on the EMM were superb, especially day 2, worth considering them if you are in the area.2014 EUROPEAN MULTISTRADA MEETING

  11. Excellent pics! Over 1500 miles now and rode out to Hitler's mountain top retreat 'The Eagles Nest' yesterday in Germany. Incredible views from the top. Only a small chain adjust needed so far, running perfectly!

  12. Stayed at Baden Baden on way here and did the B500 then some autobahn. Saw over 150mph on the clock, before chickening out. Fully loaded with panniers and top box, very stable so quite pleasantly surprised!

  13. I did the Eagles Nest back in 2012 on the Mutley - interesting visit, as you say, great views.

I remember leaving the bike key in the under seat lock in the car park for the whole 3 hour visit, without any form of disc lock/chain on!

  14. Lol! We were greeted at the bus car park with a huge hail storm. Then cleared up to Brill sunshine :)
