1260 Sticky Button

  1. Hi All,

My left handlebar "mode button" sometimes gets stuck when pressing it down. At first I thought that maybe there was something behind the switch but on closer inspection, it's not, it's actually catching on the see through plastic that is used to illuminate around the buttons. Apologies for poor pics:

Is anyone else seeing this? At first, it seemed to coincide with rain, but now it's happening a lot. And on a bike with less than 2000 miles on the clock (although tbh, if this is the worst thing I have on this bike, I'll be happy!)

  2. Maybe squirt some silicone lube in there?

  3. Might just give that a go. Just wasn't sure lube would help since it's basically over-travelling. But it can't hurt!

  4. Mine did that on delivery, seems to have cured itself.

  5. use the sillicone spray as suggested and not wd40, but mask it off a bit so it only goes on that part of the switch and not the grips or other bits

  6. GT85 is your friend.

  7. Don't have GT85... but I do have ACF50. Would that be ok?

  8. No..and dont get that on your grips etc, its an anti-corrosion spray not a lube
