Stolen

  1. Diavel Corse lifted from Bethnal Green, East London, between 1.30pm and 4.45pm today.
    Any help gratefully received.

  2. Could you be less specific please.

Is this your new bike, I believe you got it recently right? Sorry to hear it.

  3. No. It's a courtesy bike from Metropolis while my MTS is in for warranty work. I will have to fork out a huge excess I'd it's not recovered.

  4. Stolen Diavel

  5. A courtesy bike of that value, they really should have them tracked. Gutted for you, still awaiting my finances to recover from getting my bike nicked. I'll be able to get a new one for the new year. What's the excess?

  6. In broad daylight! What the feck goes on there?

  7. This explains why Metropolis had no courtesy bike to lend me while my MTS was in for warranty work - they had already lent it to you! Rotten luck about the theft though.

  8. Pic doesn't help. It looks like any other Diavel. It'll be in a million bits and on ebay next week. You DID secure it, right?

  9. If it helps. My mate's Diavel was stolen from Highbury, next to the old Arsenal Stadium in May. It was tracked and alleged perpetrators nicked, but not charged due to lack of evidence. May be the same gang targeting them. Ask your detective to check with Islington PS.

  10. All ya can say lad,is there a bunch off b##tards big time, hope ya get it back lad

  11. Well mine was stolen then sold on eBay. Police turned up in uniform and no warrant. Got told do fuck off, next day turned up with warrant and everything incriminating was gone,.. Big surprise.

  12. Cheeky?

Does anyone think I would be justified in trying to negotiate the excess contribution for Metropolis's stolen Diavel down from £1,000 on the basis that the demo should have had a tracker fitted. Their Panigali demo has one and they advised that I have one fitted to my MTS before taking delivery.

  13. No chance. They have no need to do this. Yes they should have their fleet tracked but I bet most dealers don't. They know they will never need to pay out because it's always going to be down to the person they loan it to.

It's a real shame and it makes you sick but I think you'll have to wear it. It's worth asking for a look at the insurance docs as you may get lucky with a discrepancy. On my uncles 2nd year renewal he found out they had his rsv4 down as tracked. When he queried it they said they would only allow that bike tracked.

If the diavel is the same and it should have been tracked, you can put it back to the dealer. Likewise if the insurance quotes a garage or locks and such. If they didn't provide them, you couldn't abide by the insurance so it's partly their fault.

  14. I know this doesn't help with the Diavel theft, but the number plate located on the crud guard looks quite cool!

Anyone done this to their Multi? Of course something would have to be done with the indicators and plate light.
