Stoner Honoured by the Queen

  1. Casey Stoner was named in the Queen's Birthday 2013 Honours List this week.

    He was appointed as a Member in the General Division of the Order of Australia.

  4. Stop knocking the guy, he's given a lot of time to making motorcycling great - he's still the ONLY one to get anything out of the Ducati. A comeback is still a possibility and even now, long overdue...........

  6. I have no idea what that honour is but I'm sure he'll treasure it more than all of his Moto GP successes, trophies, wife, child........
     
  7. Good on him. Perhaps she can give John Bloor a knighthood for his contribution to the industry...... or Sir Carl Foggerty...OK iv'e gone too far :smile:
     
  8. The Queen doesn't decide, the Aussie govt' do, and confere it in the Queens name, it is usually presented by the Governor General.
