Thinking of changing the stock Pirelli Corsas on my SF 848 for Metzeler Racetech Interacts. I'd be interested to hear from anyone who has tried them. Suposedly, the K3s more durable. Really want to stick with the unusual 180/60 profile. Any other suggestions welcomed. Cheers all, JP
JP, I ran a set of K3s that did for 6 track days before a session on the dyno squared them off. Grip levels were really very good and there was plenty of feel. Just had a day and a half on a K1 front/K2 rear at Cartagena and the grip was awesome. I'll probably get another 2 track days out of the rear if I get the pressure right. Can't speak more highly of the Racetech for me and my riding style. Andy
Cheers Andy. To be honest, I won't be doing any track days on mine. Just road use, mainly twisties. Do you reckon they're a good road tyre too? Would you go K3?
So, like a few others on here, I've gone for the M7RR on my 1200 Multistrada. Not managed many miles yet but I do like them from what I have done. Lots of grip both wet and dry. The K3 is supposed to be road legal but I wouldn't be riding in full on rain with them. A bit of damp is fine but not a road choice I would make. Andy
New metzelers racetec RR with bicompound on the way, check metzeler webpage. I also have a problem with that fancy tyre size... and don't want to change size due to DSP calibrations. My natural choice would have been Michelin PP 3 or Metzeler M7RR but neither one does 180/60ZR17 size
I have Road pilot CT3s on my 848 they are good plenty of grip and hard wearing, currently done 4,000 miles on the rear and still loads of life in them.
