Have both the 1098 streetfighter and the 848 evo in our stable now along with the 1098 and 1098s so can give a good comparison on all . The 848 is a lovely machine more suited to road use than the 1098/1098S. It is plenty past enough and won't bite you if pushed. The streetfighter is a real hooligan machine. First time I rode it- within 500 yds I had a massive smile on my face and just wanted to moto cross on it! It is a very smooth machine and belies it's brute power. We have just returned from the Nurberg Ring and I took my hayabusa and my partner took the streetfighter mainly because of the length of the autobahn jouirney, which we well know after last year's EU 3,500 miles over 10 days on the 1098/1098s was exciting but back aching! The streetfighter was a pleasure to tour on and my partner never felt glad to get off it.The 848 is a beautiful looking, slick machine and the streetfighter has a real aggressive attitude stance so both different but both awesome to ride in their own domain.
Agree re. 1098 SF. A brilliant machine and its such a shame that it looks like Ducati has dropped out of the super naked market entirely now.
