Streetfighter S, Fitting 320mm Disks?

Discussion in 'Technical Help' started by jack999s, Mar 5, 2017.

  1. Just wondering what the situation is if fitting 320mm disks to a 2010 sfs? Is the any problems with the dtc or anything else? Any advice appreciated

  2. Which Streetfighter ? The 1098s has 330mm discs as standard with the spacers being part of the speed sensor bracket. That means you'd have to find a new speed sensor bracket. If you SF had 320mm discs as standard so long as the offset is right, should be no problem. Andy

  3. Its the 330mm disks 1098s, I did wonder about the spacers, Will just forget what I had planned then. Appreciated

  4. Also the 320 discs don't have the DTC pick-up bobbins.

  5. It's not impossible, just need to find which bike has 320mm discs and a speed sensor. You should be able to use that bracket. Andy

  6. What are the benefits of the 320mm discs?

My 1098R has a nemesis TC system which doesn't use the standard front pick up, so no concerns there.

  7. Lower rotating mass so in theory, should make it easier to turn. Andy

  8. Be a lot cheaper to fit some quicker tyres and lift the forks a few mm.
