Who feels safer, less buffeted and more in control by speeding up? Is 'Slow Down' actually the perfect wrong advice? Is becoming a wind-driven thing by exerting less force in your intended direction of travel the right thing to do?
wind doesn't bother me. i ignore it. ive ridden a vespa 250m 2up through a hurricane. A wee breeze? meh.
stay mid gear, highish revs. But faster is better. Higher revs means that if the wind takes you, you can speed up to resist it. Works for me.
I travel to work over the humber bridge every day. I have found that you get an easier ride by going faster.
